Not a Building Levy.
A Commitment to What We Have.

What's on the ballot?

November 3, 2026

In November 2026, Canfield voters will consider a 5.9-mill operating levy to support the day-to-day operation of the schools we have today. This includes staffing, academic programs, electives, and student services for the Canfield Local School District.

November 2026 - Canfield, OH

How Is This Issue Different from Past Efforts?

This is not a building levy and will not fund construction of a new school. Unlike the previous capital improvement proposals, this levy is focused on maintaining current operations and protecting the educational opportunities already available to Canfield students.

What Happens if the Levy Does Not Pass?

The levy  is intended to address the district's ongoing operating deficit and preserve the high-quality educational programs and services that have made Canfield Local Schools one of Ohio's highest-performing districts. If the effort does not pass, potential reductions include:

  • Staff by approximately 40-50 employees, including teachers, aides, and support staff

  • Elementary and middle school STEM programs

  • Advanced academic opportunities, including Honors, AP, and College Credit Plus

  • Non-core courses such as art, music, and family and consumer sciences
